Calibration Workstation - 9155C

9155C Datasheet (563.64 kb)

The Accelerometer Calibration Workstation Model 9155C features accurate back-to-back comparison calibrations of ICP® (IEPE) and charge mode piezoelectric accelerometers in accordance with ISO 5347-3. Benefits of the Model 9155C form in two areas: conformance to existing standards and automation of the calibration task.

The system is designed to perform accelerometer calibrations emulating the procedure in ISO 5347-3 for secondary calibrations. Hardcopy printed certificates fulfill the requirements set forth by ISO 17025 for calibration certificates. The system also calculates measurement uncertainty according to ISO 5347-3.

The automation afforded by the easy to use Windows software provides for simplified calibration procedures, as test parameters are stored and recalled automatically for each accelerometer. This makes for 'hands-off' operation once the sensor is mounted. Even faster data acquisition is possible when using broadband excitation (option 9155C-200).

The Model 9155C is a turn-key solution, providing all necessary system components 'out-of-the-box'. Principle components are the Windows PC controller, printer, data acquisition hardware, reference accelerometer, shaker table, and signal conditioning.

Use the 9155C as your first step toward conforming to vibration calibration requirements!

• Assures accurate, NIST and/or PTB traceable calibrations
• Windows PC supplies familiar, intuitive user interface
• Setup tests, acquire data, save results, and print reports with precision and automation
• Define multiple pass/fail criteria for each test and automatically recall them from the internal
  database
• Printed certificates comply with ISO 17025
• Turn-key performance
• Automated calibration procedures

Portable Vibration Calibration System - K9100C

K9100C Datasheet (135.55 kb)

Produce NIST traceable vibration sensor calibration reports that comply with ISO 17025 / A2LA requirements using the TMS Model K9100C Portable Vibration Calibration System. The K9100C is designed to calibrate most vibration sensors in a bandwidth from 10 Hz to 10 kHz using an Agilent 34401A digital multimeter to measure the signal from the unit under test. The K9100C allows for automated calibration certificate generation by entering data into the supplied Visual Basic macro for Microsoft Excel.

In contrast to more elaborate laboratory style systems, the Model K9100C is portable, making it ideal for testing in the field or at a customer's site. The self-contained 9100C calibrator unit is equipped with it's own rechargeable power source, which makes the system an excellent choice for any fieldwork where power is not available. An external charger/power supply provides charging and operational current when used in the lab.

The Portable Vibration Calibration System allows the user maximum flexibility when adjusting frequency ranges (10 Hz - 10 kHz) and amplitude settings (Acceleration, Velocity, Displacement). The LCD readout of the shaker amplitude and frequency can either be displayed in English or Metric units. To ensure the accuracy and reliability of the test readings, an integrated NIST traceable reference accelerometer is included in the 9100C. Due to a unique suspension, the Model 9100C can support sensors that weigh up to 500 grams without the aid of an external support mechanism.

In addition to the Model 9100C, the K9100C includes an Agilent 34401A DMM, appropriate cabling, and the MS Excel Visual Basic macro for automated report generation. The only items required for calibration are user supplied signal conditioning and sensors.

• Generates ISO 17025 and A2LA compliant calibration certificates.
• Perform frequency and amplitude sweeps with adjustable settings.
• Acquire NIST traceable measurements with reliable instruments from TMS and Agilent.
• Displays information for acceleration, velocity, and displacement in either English or Metric   units.

Array Calibrator - 9092C & 9094C

The 9092C Series Array Calibrators enable an engineer to perform simultaneous calibration (both magnitude and phase) on a large number of accelerometers, allowing pretest checks to avoid errors in data. The Array Calibrator is a shaker-driven, rigid platform structured with 32 studmount (Model 9092C) and 64 socket-mount (Model 9094C).

Eight high-accuracy reference accelerometers define the rigid-body motion of the platform, allowing calculation of the acceleration at each test point. The system calibrates all the accelerometers at a single frequency (or across the 500 Hz bandwidth) in just minutes. This calibration system is ideal for modal or vibration test laboratories with large numbers of accelerometers. By operating through the complete measurement channel, the array calibrator also can serve as an end-to-end system check before large tests. The system can be incorporated into most commercial data acquisition systems (such as LMS CADA-X, HP 3566 or HP E1432A), or can operate as a stand alone system.

• Calibrates up to 64 accelerometers simultaneously.
• Provides both magnitude and phase information from 1 Hz to 500 Hz.
• Adapts to existing large channel data acquisition systems.
• Creates an efficient and cost saving calibration management system for large channel-count   testing.
• Uses eight high sensitivity reference accelerometers to calculate the global rigid body motion
  of the calibration platform.
• Available in 32 and 64 channel platforms.

Structural Gravimetric Calibration System - 996x Series

996x Series Datasheet (149.87 kb)

The 996x Series Gravimetric Calibration System provides for calibration of accelerometers, force sensors, and impact hammers over the low to mid frequency range. For measuring a single value sensitivity, accelerometers and load cells may be "drop" calibrated without a reference sensor, using Earth's gravity instead. Impact hammers are ratio calibrated using a known pendulous mass, a calibrated accelerometer, and Newton's Second Law. The Gravimetric Calibrator is structured with an adjustable frame, vertical and pendulous suspensions, and calibrated test masses. The system is an economical, educational and versatile tool - an important accessory in any structural test laboratory.

• Saves time and improves efficiency by automating calibration routine.
• Calibrates both accelerometers and force transducers.
• Converts existing PC into desktop calibration acquisition system.
• Improves accuracy and consistency by implementing exponential curve fit to free-fall
  calibration data.
• Calibration data allows transducer trending for better instrumentation management.

Precision Acoustic Calibration System - 9350C

9350C Datasheet (136.39 kb)

The Precision Acoustic Calibration Workstation Model 9350C is an accurate, turnkey, automated PC-based system that features cost-effective calibration of ¼", ½" and 1" microphone cartridges (open-circuit sensitivity), microphone cartridges with preamplifiers (closed-circuit sensitivity) and microphone Frequency Response Function.

In addition, the system provides for conformance testing of microphone preamplifiers and acoustic calibrators: pistonphones as well as speaker phone based calibrators.

Under complete software control, the 9350C operates in four modes:

• Microphone Cartridge Calibration
• Microphone & Preamplifier Calibration
• Preamplifier Conformance Test
• Source Calibration

A calibration certificate may be generated, or the results may be saved in the database.
